Terms of use

Short, because the arrangement is simple: Blankdesk is in its design-partner period, and these are the terms while it is.

The service

Blankdesk gives your company a Postgres database and a connector that lets an AI assistant you already use build and run internal tools on it. You reach it through that assistant; we run no separate app. During the design-partner period the service is free, and we may change it, pause it, or end it with notice by email. When pricing is introduced, you will see it before anything is charged.

Your data

Everything in your workspace is yours. We read it only to operate the service, to help you when you ask, or where the law requires. You can take it out at any time: it is standard Postgres, and an ordinary dump takes everything with it. Ask us for one, or, if you brought your own database, take it yourself. When you delete a workspace, its database and its roles are dropped; the records of that deletion stay in our own logs.

Your account

You sign in with a Google account; keep it secure. Members you invite act under the permissions you give them. Every change to your data, schema, functions, schedules, and membership is recorded with who made it, and previews come before commits; that record is part of the service, not something you can turn off.

Acceptable use

Use it for your company's own operations. Do not store data you have no right to store, do not attempt to reach another workspace, and do not use it to send bulk mail or messages (it cannot send any, by design). We may suspend a workspace that breaks these rules, and we will say why.

Assistants and plugins

The assistant you use (Claude, ChatGPT, or another client) is a separate service under its own terms. Our plugin and its skills are guidance for that assistant; what it does with them is the assistant's behaviour, checked by the previews you approve. Product names belong to their owners, and Blankdesk is not affiliated with or endorsed by them.

No warranty, limited liability

The service is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind, during a period in which it is still being built. To the extent the law allows, our liability to you for anything arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, which during the design-partner period is nothing. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
